"teen" expectations

I am currently reading the book DO HARD THINGS by Alex and Brett Harris. Before I go into detail I just want to take a second and say that Alex and Brett are doing amazing things for the Glory of God! I look up to you two and hope to see more things from you guys! Their book is all about a teenage rebellion againts low expectations. They really have this topic nailed on the head! I agree with them 100 %! The standards society has for us are soo low! Toddlers have more expectations than teenagers, which Alex and Brett point out in the book. The question is why do we let it happen? Why do we act so lazy! Do we really like people thinking we are capable of nothing? I sure am not! I want to do something amazing! Set a new standard for "teens". Especially when it comes to declaring my faith and spreading the good news of Jesus and who he is! It is definetly hard to stand up for you faith when all your peers are making fun of you! But it is worth it! Jesus died on the cross for our sins, to give us new life! He is a fair and just God and just is jealous of what we spend our time one! Exodus 34:14 "You must worship NO other gods, for the LORD, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is JEALOUS about his relationship with YOU!! Wow can you imagine that! The God of the universe who made every little thing is jealous for you!! No matter what you've done or what you look like or who you are he is jealous for you! For your time, for your heart, for your love, for your whole being! And Jesus Christ made that possible! For you to have a relationship with God who is just, who is so loving, who is dying for you to give your life to him and include him in your decisions and every aspect of your life! Just think about it ;)
